Down a Bit, Down a Bit ----Fire
Remember we told you we had ordered a new fermenter. Well we came close (ish) to getting a free one.

This fine specimin was washed ashore in Benbecula

Causing some concern until it was worked out exactly what it is.
Just think a few miles further south and we could have saved a fortune.

Still that's it for 2007.

What a year its been - a brewery up and running - quality ales and lager - and across the island for visitors and locals alike the required item of dress - a brewery zipper top.

More blogging next year - but for now its party time - Happy New Year - and may all your bottles be pint ones

Knowe is the time to buy some beer
In deepest East Lothian lies Scotland's finest farm shop selling a cornucopia of goodies from their own fields and further afield (ho ho).

It’s just been voted the farm shop of the year and has more awards that you could shake a stick of sprouts at.

For the next three days Under 20 Scotland Rugby International Angus Dixon is to be found there manning a stall selling - Scotland's most exclusive beer.

No that's not Angus - that’s Linda and Katie who run the shop - Angus is inside selling beer.

Wild Goose Chase
Following the success of our Corncrake in 80/- stew we had hoped to bring you another great Hebridean recipie - Wild Goose casserole in Colonsay IPA.
All was going well - Chris managed to run the goose over at Machrins corner, he paused only to sweep aside some of the broken windscreen from the dashboard - then dived out to pounce on his prey only to find it had flown off. So its back to the drawing board - but watch out geese - we're coming after you.

Brewery dot com
We may not be Amazon but we have been very active online in the run up to Christmas with the mainland hub buzzing to the sound of sticky tape (making up boxes).
Now it has come to an end. Our courier company SPDS, and their top man Romano, say enough is enough - if you have not got your Colonsay Beers yet you'll just have to go to Peckhams, or Locketts, or Peter Green or Cornelius and get them there. Peckhams had our beer on sale within 24 hours of it being delivered to the hub.
Merry Christmas.

Green with Envy
Peter Green - the old established wine shop in Bruntsfield, Edinburgh is the latest outlet to offer its customers the delights of Colonsay Brewery Ales and lager.
The delivery is on the way there just now.
The East of Scotland is famous for its discerning independent wine dealers. We need to find some in Glasgow to balance things up a bit.
