But here at the Isle of Colonsay Brewing Company Ltd not only have we been banging out pints non stop for four days we've also found time to get and make up orders for the mainland and this morning no less that TWO brewery vehicles left on the early boat to deliver to outlets in Oban, Glasgow, Callander, Edinburgh and North Berwick.

That was some festival.
Four days of running a bar and listening to the very best that Scotland has to offer musically. It gave us a warm glow to hear folk’s reaction to the pints we were pulling and a few bob in the back pocket too.
The session this afternoon ended about 6 with a few stalwarts managing a final brewery pulled pint. It will be sad at the pier tonight saying goodbye to our new found friends.
One of us woke this lunchtime thinking his house had been full of people singing and playing instruments until 9.30 this morning and these people had amongst other things drunk eight bottles of whisky. Fortunately it was just a dream.

We're sure Colonsay must have had a few people making similar claims before but last night was an event the island has never seen the like of. Three of Scotland's top bands playing till 1 o'clock this morning, the hall full to capacity throughout, the brewery bar buzzing, there's no point in going on because if you were not there it would only make you sad. One of us woke this morning believing the bar had been open until 5 am and there was piping in the kitchen all that time. Fortunately it was just a dream.

Just back fr a break between festival events waiting for the main performers to arrive on tonight's boat and ----- our first order from Edinburgh's most prestigious restaurant and associated uber trendy bar.
The Atrium and upstairs Blue Bar are going to start selling Colonsay Lager from next week. The Atrium was ther place that catapulted Edinburgh dining into the international league many years ago and its been up there ever since. Lets hope we don't drag them down.

Been a little quiet on the blog front because we've been really busy gearing up for Colonsay's First Music Festival - sponsored by, amongst others - The Brewery.
The first night was really the locals warm up and what a success it was with a selection of island MacNeills bolstered by brewery magnate Keith's laddie Keir and then a ceilidh with top customer Donald providing the music.
The hall had about half the number of concert goers as it will have tonight and the bar was busy so we're looking forward to another great evening.
All three beers running beautifully on draft - music everywhere, surely the island has not seen anything like it before.
We'' labe spome pictures tomorrow (hint hint)
