The directors and staff of the Isle of Colonsay Brewing Company Ltd are pleased to report supplies of draught lager have been restored to The Colonsay and are once more going down well.
The regrettable interegnum will not be repeated.
Meanwhile at the brewery today lager bottling is underway with the second brew of lager being deemed to be every bit as good as the first. I am not so sure and will be having extensive comparative tastings later.

No we have not given up on beer and begun selling hits of yesteryear. Saturday was a top trading day thanks to the arrival of Paddle Steamer Waverly which stopped by Colonsay for one hour on Saturday.
The maddest hour of trading took place with thirsty passengers rushing up to the brewery shop and clinking their way back to the pier.
Then on the mainland:
Our first foray into direct selling - the Masfield Park, Glasgow farmers market. An equally successful venture where the entire mainland stock of beer was sold in three hours save for one box of 80/-. We're going to make this a regular and plan to appear at the market, in the Partick area of Weegieworld, on the second Saturday of each month.
Also on our stall was a small selection of wild Colonsay produce from Barry Hannah's kitchen which also sold well. Jars of nettle marmalade, wild garlic ketchup, and wild garlic chutney went down a treat. So its lager production today and checking on the fermen ting of the 80/- that was brewed on Friday.
We hope to have draught lager back into the hotel by tonight and will now ensure its not unavailable again.

Colonsay Brewery is proud to announce a new appointment to the lineup. We now have a brand ambassador. Usually such appointments are made by the company, however as the brand ambassador is none other than Mr Angus MacPhee those who know him will understand it was a self appointment, one we are grateful for. Now when you enter the Colonsay you will hear the gentle lilting voice of the bar manager suggesting you try a little of the local produce - few refuse. The attached photograph has nothning to do with Angus' new role - it is the only one to be found on the internet. It is an honorary position.

We have a remarkable achievement to report. After just a few weeks of trading we have 100 per cent market penetration - on Colonsay.
Today a delivery was made to May's Pantry meaning all four licensees on Colonsay sell Colonsay Brewery Products.
Here is May in her Pantry - The delivery was good on three fronts. Firstly to achieve 100 per cent etc, secondly the delivery boy took the opportunity of a cheese toastie and cup of tea, and thirdly there was a great laugh to be had at a most annoying German who had plonked himself down on a sun drenched outside Pantry seat and assembled a massive short wave radio and spent FOUR hours spraffing complete nonsense to people around the world. "Look me up on Google Earth and follow me round the Scottish Islands" he kept saying to similar nuts around the world. I've written to the German authorities asking for his passport to be withdrawn in case he considers coming back.
