Sssssshhhhh - Don't Tell A Soul
There was an unusal visitor in the brewery today. He was a lie of the land man for a television production company. They're looking for a Scottish island venue to base a new series of a well known tv programme. They rather fancy Colonsay and he said he reckoned basing it round the brewery may work well. We agree. More details if or when something firm comes to light - but in the meantime keep it to yourself.

New Outlet Let Down By Brewery Already
The folk from the prestigious Arisaig Restaurant in Glasgow were on holiday here last year and liked the beer and naturally thought it would go down well at their Merchant City establishment. They wanted to sell in on draught - we wanted to supply it on draught. There is no economic way in the world of getting draught beer from here to there. Its a simple as that. Even if we had several draught outlets in Glasgow and Edinburgh the cost of getting a van over and back - overnights for the driver and considerable mileage ............that's not a moan just a simple statement of fact, afterall we knew what we were letting ourselves in for when we started.
So thankfully they have decided to sell our bottles as the next best thing - and it certainly works well in other restaurants.

It looks a lovely place - we'll go there for lunch next time we're in Glasgow

Chariot For Beer
The headline is meant to be a clever pun on Chariots of Fire - read on.
You have to be on your toes in the brewery business. Some folk were in the shop yesterday and were defying the downturn to kit themselves out in some top brewery clothing and also buy a few bottles of the island's finest to remind them of their latest sojourn in the Hebridies.
The Liddel family are a bunch of top folk for only did they support the shop they also volunteered to drop beer off at our latest Glasgow onsales outlet. I'll tell you about the outlet now, but in a separeate entry to keep up the 3 blogs a week or you're out rule.

More On The German Visitors
The German folk came into the shop today and they did indeed have a certificate for us. It was handed over so all is well.
We were a little rushed and did not chat as loing as is neccessary to allow us to tell the story in such a manner as it would answer all the questions thrown up in the minds of the many thousands who would be reading it. So we have started the process of contacting them again

And here is one of them with Bob and Chris. Be patient - we will get to the bottom of it.

Grand Auto Theft
We are vaguely aware of a video game with a title much like the above headline and hope this turns into a clever pun - however being totally unaware of the contents of the game, save for the faux outrage of the popular press - we may be wrong. Never mind.
On Thursday night the residents of our crime free heaven of peace and tranquillity were going about their lawful business. In the hotel a group of people were celebrating the birthday, as gentlemen we don't say which one, of former hotelier and lady of many parts Christa.
One of the assembled company, following island habit, left his can unlocked - maybe even the keys in the ignition. This comes about for two reasons - there is no need to lock a car and the keys are left in so if some emergency should arrive the car would be available if needed to deal with a pressing matter of life or death.
So for those wondering if there is any point to this tale - on leaving the hotel the party goer - Alasdair by name - found his can had been entered and items stolen. Not just any old items but four bottles of Colonsay IPA. Thanks for bearing with us this story did have something to do with the brewery. Now if this taking island generosity to an extreme and some thirsty person has just "borrowed" the beer for it to be returned soon - or has it really been stolen?
This is no joking matter - theft is theft so lets hope iots returned quickly.
