We are vaguely aware of a video game with a title much like the above headline and hope this turns into a clever pun - however being totally unaware of the contents of the game, save for the faux outrage of the popular press - we may be wrong. Never mind.
On Thursday night the residents of our crime free heaven of peace and tranquillity were going about their lawful business. In the hotel a group of people were celebrating the birthday, as gentlemen we don't say which one, of former hotelier and lady of many parts Christa.
One of the assembled company, following island habit, left his can unlocked - maybe even the keys in the ignition. This comes about for two reasons - there is no need to lock a car and the keys are left in so if some emergency should arrive the car would be available if needed to deal with a pressing matter of life or death.
So for those wondering if there is any point to this tale - on leaving the hotel the party goer - Alasdair by name - found his can had been entered and items stolen. Not just any old items but four bottles of Colonsay IPA. Thanks for bearing with us this story did have something to do with the brewery. Now if this taking island generosity to an extreme and some thirsty person has just "borrowed" the beer for it to be returned soon - or has it really been stolen?
This is no joking matter - theft is theft so lets hope iots returned quickly.

We had a brief visit from a couple of German beer enthusiasts today who said they loved our lager and were searching for the smallest island brewery as they had a certificate to present. What? We're not sure.....more as it develops.

Keen readers of this drivel may recall that after two years of being nagged by Ketih we finally got our act together and ordered up presentation packs to showcase each of our three beers in an attractive gift like package.
They too had their first outing this week and are selling well. Better still Calmac have said they are interested in stocking them onboard - so cheers.

Remember that government woman Baroness Venereal or something who got a row saying she saw the green shoots of recovery when across the country banks were failing and thousands of people were being thrown onto the dole. Well at the risk of starting a similar kerfuffle we would hazard a guess that things may be turning the corner if our daft wee shop is anything to go by.
Today we were open for just a couple of hours before the boat and the place was fair mobbed. A yes - the green jackets were being snapped up again - so much so that after five hours trading they are going to have to be reordered. Ok so we did not have a huge stock to start with but we had what we thought would have been ample to see us through perhaps half the summer. Then to cap it all David went off on the boat this afternoon and driving along George Street in Oban saw someone, who could not have come off the same boat - wearing a new look brewery hoodie.

We did the birthday bar in the hall last night. Keith Bob and David your smiling staff for the evening - Pint of Lager certainly Sir - can I get you anything else. Staff training paying dividends it seems. All went swimming well with the assembled birthday crowd, swollen by locals and hotel staff - dancing the night away and drinking industrial quantities of IPA and Lager and hardly any 80/-. Perhaps we need to learn a lesson and concentrate on 80/- in the winter and come up with a summer drinking beer. Next year perhaps. Certainly the abstemious bar staff were a credit to healthy living - though there were a couple of run ins over the pork scratchings.
