It is going to take a few days to get fonts freed up but the first delivery is scheduled for early next month.
Easter visitors are everywhere and the till in the brewery shop is singing its favourite tunes.

After some days of talks we finally reach agreement with the Colonsay Hotel to get all three of our beers on sale permanently. Its odd the nearest is sometimes the most difficult. But they know us and we know them and ..... anyway the deals done and the current two beers will be joined by a third on a dedicated section of the bar.
For no other reason than we like the picture here is a shot of three of the brewers and island hero Wee Davy
Its good to see people happy in their work.

We have all but clinched a deal to have Colonsay 80/- and Colonsay Lager on sale in a top Oban outlet from as soon as we can get our act together.
We have extra capacity - 50 per cent more than last year - but we rather fear we may have some 70 per cent more beer.
Damn - back to an on going lack of beer situation - or a NIGHTSHIFT.

We know if we are bad in this life something awful happens in the next. So it must be with Anne from Peckhams. She single-handedly has to manage the stocks of their chain of fantastic delis across the central belt which sounds straight forward. Imagine keeping tabs on the thousands of items stocked in 14 shops across Scotland. This preamble is a way of saying we don't hold her silence against her but it is sort of worrying in a new commercial relationship not to hear from the customer.
We don't dare phone - takes too much time - so we e mail. Hello - need any more beer. Nothing. Hello just thought you'd like to hear ...... make up some nonsense in the hope of reminding her of our existence and prompting an order. Nothing. Then - stop beating about the bush - hello would you like some more beer or are we de listed? Reply by return with another bumper order attached. Sorry been busy, she says. Beer delivered the next day and we bump into the blessed lady for the first time, by accident. Not only does she like the beer and find it sells well. Her house has a permanent stock of it because the boyfriend loves the IPA. Thanks great god of brewing.

Rose Murray Brown's peice in the Scotsman prompts a call from the Port Charlotte Hotel in Islay asking aboun the possibility of supply.Yes I know I've told you already but some people might not have read it.
Anyway the i's are dotted and the t's crossed and the Isle of Colonsay Brewing Company puts to see courtesy of Nichol McKinnon well known Islay rib man.
Rib loaded up with kegs of IPA and taps and other bar equipment off we set for Islay - beer installed in the Port Charlotte and running well. First night on sees virtually a whole keg away. Not bad for a Tuesday night pre Easter. Now top Islay fisherman George Gillies has said he will act as our floating dray to ferry kegs backwards and forwards.
But - not a problem faced by other amateur brewers lie S and N etc - at the height of the summer he fishes round Oransay rather than Colonsay and won't be able to come up to the pier for beer. No worry - the summer ferry is going then. If you come to Colonsay for a day trip do not be suprised by a knock on your car window and a plea: "Would you mind dropping these off at the Port Charlotte hotel"
