Early start this morning to get a brew of lager underway - - disaster!
The kettle element has got, rather spectacularly.
We reckon it was actually close to blowing up our high tec (ish) control panel.
Brew abandoned and off to the internet to try and find a new element that fits. Might not be an easy job.

Further to the German chap who enquired about sending IPA to Germany -- Just got a quote from Keith the post - £50 to Germany plus the cost of the beer which works out at £6.91 a pint. You'd have to like it a lot for that. Mind you I'd check the figures with our numeracy record.
We've told him - lets ee what he says - probably not much because I put the message into German via Google Translate - he probably thinks we want to marry his granny.

They've done it again. Our friends at Peckhams are pro's. They run a slick operation interfacing with top suppliers all over Scotland and the wider world. It makes us proud as we roll up and make our contribution to the shelf filling of their chain of stores, including their posh new one in Aberdeen.
So we need to reflect that professional approach - and when the weeks order if for 12 cases of IPA we send them 12 cases of IPA - not 14 like we did this week. Its not the first time you know. I think we will have to paint numberss on the floor and they'll know they're at 12 when they can only see 13.

We are close to having 500 Facebook friends - That's almost five times the population of the island. Lets try and get 1000, then delete the page and go back to a quiet life.
