Forget The Previous Entry
Pride, as we all know, comes before a fall. There we were boasting of our professionalism in the palletisation of the Peckhams Order and guess what - they screwed it up.
No names, brewery individuals refered to only as B and C were so busy with their shrink wrap and pallets they appeared to have lost the ability to count.
12 cases if IPA is what was ordered 13 is what was delivered. Come on boys its easy 12 is the one between 11 and 13. We obviously need the man with the calculator and sharpened pencil down on dispatch days to check the counting. The good news is the nice lady at Peckhams says she'll pay for it anyway.

Professional Palleting Gives Brewery A Boost
What a laugh. Every time we phone in Peckhams to book our delivery in the nice lady always says: "How many pallets?" and we, rather sheepishly reply none - just 60 cases or whatever. This week however we have hit the big time. Our beer is going on a pallet. Chris and Bob piled it all up and shrink wrapped it. How posh is that. I bet when we book the order in the nice lady will be so used to us not having any pallets she won't even ask - then we'll have to go all macho and say .....by the way, for that's how they talk in Glasgow - we've got a pallet.

Hell On Island - Only Soup To Look Forward To.
IPA all day yesterday - Lager all day today. Its all bottles nearly because the seasonal keg market is down - obviously. Bob Chris and Ross sustained by a supply of top notch rolls and soup from Mel and Sheena bottle hundreds and bloody hundreds of bottles. It really is quite the dullest job in the world. In the early days it was quite fun with a bit of banter and a few laughs - now Bob has told his joke there is hardly a human sound to be heard. The most exciting it got was a rather low pitch cheer from Ross when he heard St Mirren had beaten Celtic.

All Hands To The Bottles
While many islanders and friends are warming up for the Colonsay Gathering in Glasgow tonight here at the brewery its none stop.
The IPA was bottled yesterday but now its the lager and the job of boxing up the orders. On Monday's boat Chris is heading to Edinburgh with deliveries and Bob is off to Glasgow. Lets hope it doesn't snow again.

Help Required - Apply Within
Megga bottling day looming on Friday with two tanks full of IPA and Lager to package (like the top brewery talk?).
However it looks as though it may be a two man operation as only Bob and Chris are available. Someone was going to ask Ross, who's away at the moment, to get off the boat on Friday and come straight to the brewery - but did they?
